How does Ohnut work?

What is Ohnut made of?
Open tabOhnut is currently made of an FDA approved body- and skin-safe polymer blend. It’s a thermo-set material that is BPA-, phthalate-, silicone-, and latex-free.
Note about material: The original Ohnut was designed in silicone, which therefore made it incompatible with silicone lubrication. Silicone lubricants are generally recommended by the pelvic health / medical community for their long lasting quality (having to reapply water-based lubrication during a connected moment can be very disruptive). However, silicone lubrication will degrade silicone products, therefore we decided to adjust Ohnut's material to be easily integrated with medical recommendations. In regards to permeability, our manufacturing experts have informed us that, in general, most plastics are permeable, with the amount of permeability depending on what size molecule and under what pressure. Ohnut's material is not permeable with the amount of pressure applied during a couple's use. However, as a precautionary measure, we recommend that Ohnut is not shared between different partners. Our material is also not considered 'hygroscopic' (water absorbing).
How does it feel physically for the penetrating partner?
Open tabWhile Ohnut can be used by penetrating partners of any gender, feedback from those with penises includes not noticing the difference and feeling like full penetration, while also enjoying its additional use for foreplay. Some may feel a slight “hug” sensation. The majority report that sex is more satisfying because they're not as worried about causing their partner pain and their partner isn’t as worried about being in pain. This generally results in a feeling of confidence, of letting go with one another, of enjoyment. Does Ohnut come in different sizes?
Open tabOhnut now comes in two sizes: Classic and Wider.
Classic: Designed for those who wear “Standard” or “regular” condoms; Lifestyles Snugger Fit, Slim Fit, or similar.
Wider: Designed for those who wear Trojan Magnum, Durex XXL, or similar. In comparison, the Wider Ohnut is 15% wider than the Classic Ohnut and stretches up to 50% more.
All Ohnuts are made with a soft material that stretches significantly for comfort.
Penetrating partner preference and size of origin may vary widely. So! If Ohnut feels too tight, store the rings wrapped around a water bottle that is 3” in diameter (also serves as a great drink koozie) for at least a couple of hours. This will temporarily stretch out the rings. Let us know how this works for you.
Will Ohnut fix the pain I have during penetrative sex?
Open tabIf you feel discomfort at any time — speak up to your partner, take a break, and listen to your body. Ohnut is not a medical device and does not prevent or cure any conditions — so it’s a good idea to consult with your clinician. You may also consider visiting a pelvic floor physical therapist or a pelvic floor occupational therapist.
I recently had gender affirmation surgery (M to F). Can Ohnut help make sex more comfortable?

Using Ohnut
Can I use Ohnut with a condom?
Open tabYes! You’ll just need to put the condom on prior to putting on your Ohnut. Be sure to use additional lubrication before sliding Ohnut on.
What kinds of lubrication can I use with Ohnut?
Open tabLubrication is essential to the Ohnut experience (do not attempt use without it!). Since Ohnut is made from an FDA-approved family of polymers, it is compatible with both silicone based (wash very thoroughly after use) and water based lubrication. Oil based lubes are not recommended, including coconut oil, as they can degrade the material and cause your rings to tear.
Can I use coconut oil with Ohnut?
Open tabCoconut oil (or any oil-based lubricant) should not be used with Ohnut, as it can degrade the material and cause your rings to tear. We cannot replace damaged rings that have been used with oil-based lubricants. Water- and silicone-based lubricants are great, though!
How do I properly care for my Ohnut?
Open tabMake sure to store your Ohnut linked together in its bag between uses. Hand wash your Ohnut with mild soap and water after use and allow to air dry. Save your dishwasher for the dishes.

Is shipping discreet?
Open tabYep! The shipping packaging for Ohnut will in fact be phenomenally boring, and for additional discretionary pleasure, the return address label won’t have 'Ohnut' written on it. It'll be coming from "Twenty Three Ventures."
What is your return policy?
Open tab- Manufacturing Defects: If Ohnut arrives damaged or defective, we will replace it at no charge - contact us here within 14 days for assistance.
- If you wish to return an Ohnut, contact us here within 60 days of receipt and we will be happy to help you. Please include your order number and the email address you placed your order with. If approved for a return, a $10 return shipping fee will be deducted from your refund. Initial shipping charges are non-refundable.
- Unopened products - 60 day money back returns.
- Opened products - 60 day store credit returns.
- Unopened & Unused Ohnut Case: If you wish to return an unopened and unused Ohnut Case, contact us here within 14 days of receipt and we will be happy to help you. Please include your order number and the email address you placed your order with. If approved, a $4 return shipping fee will be deducted from your refund.
- Lubes, pins, gift cards, mugs, and Sex Journal are currently not eligible for returns.
Please note that we are unable to accept returns on orders shipped outside the United States under any circumstances.
What is your exchange policy?
Open tabIf you wish to exchange an unopened and unused Ohnut for a different color or size, please contact us within 14 days of receipt and we’ll be happy to help you. Additional shipping charges may apply.
Due to the intimate nature of Ohnut, we’re unable to offer exchanges, returns, or refunds on opened or used products (except in the case of a manufacturing defect).
Please note that we are unable to offer exchanges on orders shipped outside the United States under any circumstances.
Does Ohnut come with a warranty?
Open tabOhnut carries a 12 month warranty from date of purchase. With proper care, cleaning, and storage your Ohnut should be functional for approximately 2 years. If your Ohnut becomes dysfunctional within 12 months of purchase, please contact us for assistance. Be sure to include your order number in your message. Please note that using any oils or oil-based lubricant with Ohnut, including coconut oil, will void this warranty.
How do I cancel my order?
Open tabCancelations are only guaranteed within 1 hour of placing your order. If you need to cancel, contact us here and select Cancelation Request. Make sure to include your order number in your subject line and message.
Cancelations are only possible before your order ships. If your order ships before it can be canceled, you're welcome to initiate a return as long as the original packaging has not been opened. All returns have a $12 restocking fee, deducted from the refund amount.
How long does shipping take?
Open tabDue to ongoing issues caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, shipping times continue to be subject to delays. If you have questions about your order status we're happy to help. Please click here to contact us.
Generally, orders placed Monday-Friday before 2pm Pacific Time will ship the same day. Orders placed after that, over the weekend, or on a major holiday will ship the following Monday/next business day. For shipping within the United States, Ground shipping typically takes 3-10 business days to deliver via USPS. 5 Day shipping typically takes 3-5 business days to deliver via USPS Priority Mail.
For international orders, shipping typically takes 7-10 business days but can be further delayed by customs. We ship internationally via DHL, UPS, or FedEx. Please make sure to include your phone number when you checkout in case we need to contact you about the delivery of your order.
What if my package is lost or stolen?
Open tabPlease ensure that your address has a secure point of delivery as we do not take responsibility for a package being lost or stolen once it has been dropped off and marked as delivered by the carrier. You'll receive a tracking number via email once your package ships. Note that tracking information does not start to update until the package has arrived at the carrier’s processing center.
In most cases, packages marked delivered usually still arrive within a week. If your package is lost in transit and not marked delivered, please contact us so we can look into this further for you.
What is your international shipping policy?

International shipping typically takes between 8-14 business days (an estimation is also provided at checkout). Please note that some delays may occur due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Unfortunately, we do not ship to the following countries:
