Frequently Asked Questions
How to Use Ohnut
Ohnut is worn externally by a penetrating partner at the base of the shaft. Lube up and slide Ohnut down. During penetration Ohnut will compress to act like a buffer and limit depth.
What Ohnut Feels Like
Ohnut is soft, squishy, and stretchy. Couples often say it feels like "nothing's there" or it's "like a gentle hug."
Many are able to enjoy sex more than ever without having to worry about going to deep.
How to Introduce Ohnut to a Partner
Talking about pain with your partner can be difficult, but we've found that Ohnut is a great conversation starter (it even comes with clever convo prompts).
Most often both partners love Ohnut, are able to enjoy sex more, and are excited for the subtle yet profound change in their bedroom time.
We tried out the vibrator ring and we were surprised the light on it was super bright. Different pattern options can be nice but I'm more about intensities then patterns personally. We also saw that the battery/vibe part can come out too, for really good cleaning. We haven't tried the rings yet, I got them for mostly one position any way. They came with their own little bags which we are using. I'm very happy with our purchase so far.
Just what my partner and I needed to my our experience much more enjoyable and more intimate! Highly recommend ohnut
How have I been married 27 years and am just now learning about this!? The rings have made sex so much more comfortable for me. Not only am I not experiencing any pain, especially in positions that used to occasionally have discomfort, everything is better because I am not worried about the possibility of pain. I get to enjoy positions and activities that I used to do only because I knew he enjoyed them.
Desperate and dismissed by doctors for years after my second baby, I had laporscopic surgery to discover I have adenomyosis (very similar to endometriosis) My husband and I have always had incredible chemistry but from recent years of painful sex I was desperate enough for surgery! I went to pelvic floor physical therapy for months after. Nothing has helped until THIS! Turns out I just needed a few inches of "shock absorbers" to not beat up my cervix and messed up uterus. My husband was willing to try and he's so thankful we have. I think about sex and look forward to sex for the first time in 3 years. He says he doesn't even feel the two rings. I'm glad we went with the wider bands too. I feel so much better about myself. Thank you Ohnut!!!
This thing really works! On my side (female) I don't feel it being there, but also definitely don't feel the pain of penetration that is too deep any more. I can play rough again without the bad kind of pain. If either person is boney in the public area it also softens that impact. My men folk say it is totally comfortable and unnoticeable. Works just fine with or without condoms. It is everything it promises to be.
Buy the case for them. The material attracts all the dust, fur, or debris that it can find.
I have had deep, dull (yet somehow also sharp/jarring) pelvic pain with penetration for many years, and it has only gotten worse after having kids and getting older. We aren't 100% sure of the cause, but it likely is due to a combination of endometriosis, pelvic adhesions, and PCOS. I wish I had tried ohnut as soon as my gyno recommended it, because it has made a BIG difference. Am I 100% pain free? No. Does it increase my low libido/interest in sex/arousal? No. But I can say that this brought my pain level down from an 8 to maybe a 4, and for much of the time I don't have any pain. This also reduced my anxiety knowing that I won't have severe and abrupt bouts of pain, so that I can relax and try to actually enjoy sex instead of feeling guarded. This is 100% worth a try, you owe it to yourself and your partner to try to reduce your pain and anxiety. My partner said that the oh nut is barely noticeable, and while he says it can be slightly constricting or feel tight if you've had it on for awhile, it's much better for him knowing that he and I can both try to enjoy sex without worrying about depth of penetration or angle, and he can be more "free" with his activity and do what feels good for him without having to worry about it causing pain for me. It's a win-win situation, and I couldn't recommend it enough. They are also so easy to clean, and the fact that they are compatible with silicone and water based lubricants is a huge relief.
This is worth the money! This has made sex 100% painless for me. We could not be happier with Ohnut!
I am recovering from anal cancer treatment and the chemo/radiation has left me with scarring, adhesions and easily tearing labia and vaginal tissues. I want to get back some semblance of a sex life and the Ohnut buffer rings were recommended during a patient conference. We’ve only tried them a few times but they do help. My husband still wants to “go all in” and this gives him that sensation without me worried as much about my parts getting too stressed. We still have to practice more (slowly and carefully) but I am hopeful that this will be a helpful aid in our arsenal of “aids”.
I’m a sexologist and I will be using this in 2023 for workshops. I have one coming up in February on Sex and Aging. A perfect prop alongside my cloth genital presentations.
For people who have had to limit vaginal sex due to deep pain with penetration, the Ohnut is a phenomenal game changer! My patients love it! Brilliant!
For years my wife would suffer after sex and after awhile it got to the point where her desire to have sex diminished. After hearing about Ohnut we decided it was worth a shot. After the first use it was amazing that she was pain free and it felt exactly the same to me as before. Thank you for creating this and helping my wife live a more painless life.
I've been hemming and hawing over purchasing these for at LEAST 2 years. I've seen them around and followed the page on IG for a long long time and finally pulled the trigger during this year's Black Friday sale. Oh boy...should I have gotten them sooner. Such a game changer.
For a little context/background, my partner and I have been together for 6 years and for the last approximately 3/3.5 years I've been experiencing pain during penetrative intercourse. Some positions are better than others and some times of the month are more painful than others. One position that is NEVER doable was one of our past favorites, doggy. Well, a favorite of the past no more! These rings has enabled me to enjoy that position again. Whenever we'd try it before I'd break down in tears from the pain and just couldn't wait for it to be over or to change positions. Now, I can relax and enjoy knowing that the Ohnut rings are there to keep me comfortable. The biggest thank you to this company!
We use 3 of them, and some days we could benefit from a 4th one. I do recommend following their instructions to start with 3 and go more or less from there because we started with 2 and that was definitely not enough.
This little vibrator works great for both of us. 10 stars!
I bought this on the advice of my physio following a hysterectomy, but my husband is so impressed he says he wishes we had known about it years ago! While this is not a cheap purchase, it was definitely worth it.
Adenomyosis warriors worldwide and our tender cervixes thank you 🙏🏼
Inventor by necessity
After looking for help for over 10 years, I felt completely powerless in a body that I didn’t understand. And yet, as I created the first donut concept (in my kitchen!) the demand was staggering. Since launch, we’re now recommended by over 5k clinicians in the US, with triumphant reviews, amidst a proud chorus of “It’s about damn time.”
